Thermo-mannequin for evaluating peoples’ comfort

This thermo-mannequin in the shape of an average human body, whose limbs can be variously arranged, is used for evaluating the comfort of persons in both indoor and outdoor environments, such as buildings or vehicle cabins, or for evaluating the thermo-insulating properties of clothes and equipment for sport and working activities.

The thermo-mannequin measures heat loss by convection, radiation and conduction in a total of 34 thermal zones, and based on these values the heat loss of the whole body is determined. The mannequin is also equipped with adjustable breathing apparatus with filters, which allow the amount of inhaled dust particles to be monitored.

Technical parameters:

  • measurement range of ambient temperature: -20 to +50 °C
  • 34 independently controllable zones
  • 34 independently measurable zones.
