Access to premises with high levels of security using scanning of the human eye to eliminate any falsification vs. comprehensive medical examination of the human eye - using only one device? It not only sounds great, it does in fact already exist!
In a lubricating system with one lubricant reservoir and multiple surfaces to lubricate it is difficult to distribute the oil evenly to all surfaces being lubricated. A new solution has been developed by Prof. Nevrlý at the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Brno University of Technology. The design is based on a cascade separation system with control elements.
Testing the effectiveness of cleaning and washing flux in the microelectronics industry
17. 09. 2014In the production of printed circuits boards it is necessary to ensure that all residues of soldering flux are removed effectively and carefully. Removal is carried out by washing and cleaning using spray at a high temperature (50 – 80 °C) in special liquids such as deionized water, organic solvents and other emulsion-type liquids intended for this purpose.
Since August 2014 the Brno University of Technology has launched another spin-off company, RehiveTech, spol. s r. o. The personnel base of the company was constituted by the research group Accelerated Network Technologies of the Faculty of Information Technology ( ANT@FIT), which at the beginning of 2014 concluded with the university a general contract on cooperation and a contract on providing research results.
Are you trying to solve the problem of robotic grip on variously shaped items with flat surfaces? When we want to move items that only have one shape, the solution is easy – a robotic gripper is used that best grips the particular item. However, what do you do if the shape of such items changes? The answer is an intelligent robotic suction gripper made by the Division of Mechatronics at BUT.
Scientists at the Faculty of Civil Engineering have found a way of acoustically insulating floor structures so that they meet the respective noise standards and do not reduce the comfort of users, particularly those living in blocks of flats. To achieve this they are using ceiling structures which enhance the acoustic properties of footfall sound and decrease air sound transmission.
