Marking glass/ceramic plates intended for demanding test procedures

06. 06. 2014

A method has been developed to permanently mark for identification purposes glass or ceramic plates which are repeatedly subject to demanding procedures.

Description of the technology

This marking, which must be resistant to intense chemical, mechanical and thermal stress, is made by applying a special glazing TLV paste on the surface of a glass or ceramic substrate using a dispenser. The paste is then dried and heat-treated at the paste’s re-melting or re-crystallization temperature. The required identification, code or a system of symbols can therefore be applied to the surface of the substrate in a contrasting colour and thus ensure colour stability and chemical and physical properties similar to those of the basic material of the sample. Find more information here.

Main advantages

  • Permanent marking of glass or ceramic plates intended for undergoing repeated challenging procedures; marking is resistant to chemical, mechanical and thermal stresses.
  • Colour stability of marking with a contrasting colour

Protection of intellectual property

  • Granted utility model (link)
  • Granted Czech patent (link)

Offer of collaboration

We are offering an exclusive licence, for those regions where the technology is protected, to a company which will ensure application of the device and the methods in the market.
