The Department of Radio Electronics is intensively pursuing research and working alongside the commercial sector in the field of electronics and wireless communication.

This is an extensive field which covers electronic circuits, signals processing, satellite, mobile and optical communications, television technology, low frequency and audio electronics, microprocessor technology and many other areas.

We offer the following:

  • Research and development of electronic circuits and systems
  • Application of electronic circuits and systems in communication, control and industrial technologies
  • Processing signals and their application in the fields speech processing and digital radio technology
  • Research, development and consultation in the field of electromagnetic wave propagation, aerials, microwaves ,and  EMC optical technology
  • Development, research and realization in the area of special electronic communications (mobile, satellite and optical wireless communications)

  • Sony Tektronix 3086 spectral analyser
  • R&S SMIQ2B and LeCroy LW410 generators
  • Designing kits with DSP processors (Texas Instruments, Analog Devices) and circuits FPGA (Virtex II, Virtex II Pro)
  • ML9002A optical performance meter (ANRITSU)
  • AVS-USB2000 optical spectral analyser (AVANTES)
  • Measuring chain for the long-term monitoring of qualitative parameters of all atmospheric optical links (monitoring atmospheric parameters)
  • Optical anti-vibration desks along with the relevant mechanical and optical elements
  • Equipment for optically measuring vibrations, 1 GHz optical detector
  • Spectral analysers 10 kHz - 7 GHz
  • Equipment for communication with experimental satellites in the bands from HF to 10 GHz
  • Beam aerials controlled in Az/El, including a 3m parabolic mirror
  • A system for the precise measurement satellite distance and speed inLEO and HEO orbits
  • Seaward Spectrum Receiver 9 kHz to 1 GHz computer-controlled spectral analyser and measuring receiver

  • HP E7404A 9 kHz to 13.2 GHz EMC spectral analyser
