Faculty of Chemistry
We offer cooperation to companies in the following areas:
- analyses of materials, food, rocks, industrial products and raw materials
- new inorganic, polymeric and composite materials
- research and development in physical chemistry
- technologies of water treatment, monitoring air quality, ecotoxicology, evaluation of chemical substances, monitoring pollutants
- identification of microorganisms, new biotechnologies, bio-fuels
- use of secondary materials (fly-ash, slag, plastics, etc.)
Departments of the faculty
We are engaged in the research and development of inorganic, polymeric and composite materials, glass and ceramics, as well as refractory materials and metals.
We are engaged in the generation, diagnostics and applications of plasma in gaseous mixtures and liquids, at both atmospheric and reduced pressure.
We analyse environmental components (water, soil, air, biotic matrices) and their contaminants. We are equipped with the necessary instruments and provide consulting in the area of special analyses.
The institute is primarily engaged in issues concerning the physical chemistry of colloid and macromolecular systems, photochemistry, plasma chemistry and physics and computer applications in chemistry, as well as chemical technology and physics.
Our key areas of research are food analysis using instrumental methods, genetic engineering, biotechnological and microbiological applications, and the inspection and sensory analysis of food. We are offering cooperation in the sphere of food analysis and biotechnologies.
Our aim is the research and development in fields of biomaterials, delivery systems and electronics and photonics.
Our aim is the research and development in the field of inorganic binders, glass, ceramics, metals and corrosion
