The Department of Power Engineering offers extensive opportunities for cooperation in a number of theoretical and practical fields within the energy sector. The department has a technology available for measuring at external sources, including measuring combustion emissions or taking thermovision/endoscopic measurements. Experimental tests and the verification of fuel properties can be performed in either the gasification or the combustion unit, which includes determining the basic properties of solid and liquid fuels. We provide a complete design for heat engines and their measuring and testing. ANSYS and STAR CD programmes enable the modelling of flow, heat transfer or strength states. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, we offer advisory services, consulting and the drawing up of expert opinions in various aspects of energy.
We offer the following:
-
Fuel analyses
-
Measuring emissions in external sources
-
Carrying out research in the literature and drawing up case studies relating to the energy sector
-
Thermovisual measuring
-
Equipment revision using an endoscope
-
Modelling thermo-fluid processes in the STAR CD application
-
Strength and heat calculations using the ANSYS application
-
Experimental tests in gasification and combustion stands
-
Heat and construction design of engines with external heat transfer
-
Measuring and testing heat engines
- Drawing up expert opinions on power equipment
- Designing and evaluating absorption circulations
