Institute of Manufacturing Technology - Department of Machining Technology

The Institute of Manufacturing Technology – Department of Machining Technology offers a wide range of services focused on e.g. advisory activities, computer support for machining, the workability of materials, measuring temperature fields, analysis of high-speed processes and graphical stimulation.

Considerable emphasis is laid on computer-aided support for technology, which penetrates not only every area of the technological preparation of production, but also reaches into the manufacturing itself control of manufacturing and control units.

Abundant support from computer-aided and numerical programming with graphical simulation of cutting represents today’s forward-looking and comfortable production planning and the determining of production strategies. Extensive cooperation with leading foreign universities puts this department at the forefront of its field in Europe.

We offer the following:

  • Advisory and expert activities in the application of new tools and tool materials, and machining new construction materials
  • Manufacture of functional parts and elements based on supplied data – Rapid Tooling/CNC Machining
  • 3D modelling for manufacturing parts on CNC machines
